Remember a few months ago, when actor Bradley Cooper had a new favorite hat? Well, it’s sort of like how time makes you bolder and the seasons go round and round: things change. Now there’s a new cap in Cooper’s life.

The Maestro filmmaker may have endured the unfortunate privilege of sitting courtside for his beloved Philadelphia 76ers’ loss to the New York Knicks on Thursday night, but at least he took advantage of the opportunity to show off his new accessory: a camouflage-printed trucker hat featuring an embossed leather patch that reads “Girl Dad,” a sweet homage to his seven-year-old daughter Lea, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk.

Cooper paired the crispy camo hat with a limited-edition flight jacket commemorating Sixers legend Julius Erving and his favorite rare sneakers as of late, the Air Jordan 4 “Taupe Haze”—which, according to British GQ’s Adam Cheung, “not even reigning Hollywood sneaker king” (and fellow Girl Dad) Ben Affleck has in his collection.

Throughout the recent swag-ification of his personal style, Cooper has tended to wear pieces with personal touches: a jacket for his favorite team, or a pair of pants designed by his girlfriend Gigi Hadid, or a hat that nods to his family life.

Cooper recently reflected on fatherhood during a February episode of the Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard podcast. “I’m not sure I’d be alive if I wasn’t a dad,” the actor said, explaining how the experience anchored his reality.

“I’m a father [seeking to do] the least amount of damage I can do to my daughter,” he added. “I want her to have, as much as she can, a foundation that’s like, 25 feet thick, cement, that she can walk on this earth with. That’s the goal.”
