If there was one sheet set that’s on nearly every registry and want-to-buy list, it’s Pottery Barn’s Belgian flax linen. It’s incredibly lightweight and durable and comes in 30 colors. The sheets feel even softer as you use and wash them.

We warned you that good linen sheets are pricey. Mellanni makes a more reasonable set, though, in your basic sizes and a few neutral colors. These are great for if you want to add a set into rotation.

These French linen sheets are well-made and light. They fit mattresses up to 16″ deep, and they’ve been prewashed to make them feel even softer on first use.

Lightweight linen can get very thin—like, paper thin. Quince makes a mid-weight linen sheet set with a little more substance but no heat trapping.

Cultiver’s linen sheets might very well be the softest of the bunch. They are an investment, but for a linen snob, there’s nothing better. They’re prewashed for softness. Keep an eye out, though: Colors sell out quickly, especially the more neutral ones.

Brooklinen’s linen core set is a no-brainer. They’re lightweight and nicely made and come in easy colors. They aren’t quite as long-lasting as some of the pricier ones, though.
