We knew Ryan Gosling would give it his all during his performance of “I’m Just Ken” at the 2024 Oscars, but we could not in our wildest dreams have expected this.

During the red carpet pre-show on E! ahead of the 96th Academy Awards, a host revealed that Gosling will be hitting the stage alongside “75 shirtless Kens.” It is unclear at this time if Gosling himself will also be shirtless. We will update this post when that (urgent) information becomes available.

Speaking to People, a source said that during yesterday’s rehearsal, “Ryan was relaxed, his spirits were high, and everyone was having fun.” Music to my ears.

“I’m Just Ken,” the Barbie movie hit that was written and produced by Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, is one of five songs in the running for the best original song award. All of the nominees will take the stage tonight—including Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas, whose ballad “What Was I Made for?” was also written for the Barbie movie, and Becky G, who will sing the Diane Warren-penned song “The Fire Inside” from Flamin’ Hot. The Osage Tribal Singers and Jon Batiste will also perform Scott George’s “Wahzhazhe” (Killers of the Flower Moon) and “It Never Went Away” (American Symphony), respectively.

Ryan Gosling is also nominated for an Oscar this evening for his stunning performance as Ken from the Barbie movie. His co-star America Ferrera is the only other member of the cast to receive an Oscar nomination (much to the chagrin of Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig fans), however the whole production got a best picture nod, which is quite the feat for a film about a children’s toy.
