There’s a lot that goes into it, but these are the things you should consider—the things we consider when ranking sofas.

Dimensions – This goes without saying, but make sure this things is going to fit in your space.

Fabric Options – I love the feel of linen, but nothing takes color like velvet. Nothing lasts as long as leather. Think about what it is you want, and choose a fabric that gets you there.

Where the Couch Meets the Floor – This one is big for curved sofas. At the front of the couch, is there space to see under it? A lot of times there isn’t. In especially small spaces, a couch that is one mass can take up a lot of visual space. One that is lifted off the floor by its legs can make a room feel larger.

Delivery/Assembly – Most sofas come fully delivered with some sort of white glove delivery, but just consider what you want from a delivery experience.

Design Choices – Curved sofas obviously have a sort of ’70s and ’80s luxury design to them, but within that there can be nuances. Figure out what works best for you.
