Brad Pitt is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Unlike most fellas in his particular box-office-smashing tax bracket, though, his wardrobe skews approachable. Sure, he’ll step out in the requisite artisanal suit when occasion demands it, but he also likes Sunspel sweaters and Adidas sneakers. And when he pulled up to the Mexico City Grand Prix, this week, he proved his everyman style chops once again in a pair of relatively affordable (and surprisingly insider-y) sunglasses.
While taking a wee break from filming, Pitt was spotted on the grandstands of Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in a classic pair of aviators from Burberry’s spring/summer 2022 collection, the final one before Daniel Lee took the helm as chief creative officer. His particular shades are charmingly dubbed the ‘Scott’, and they’re made in Italy (naturally) with a full metal build decked out in a shiny silver finish. Two discreet Burberry logos are lasered onto each of the arms, and the round lenses are tinted smoky gray for a telltale movie-star look.
Nowadays, most famous guys of Brad Pitt’s caliber favor four-figure frames from brands like Jacques Marie Mage (see: Strong, Jeremy) or hard-to-find silhouettes from small-batch shades specialists. But Pitt’s Burberry shades originally retailed for around $200, and somehow, some way, they’re currently selling for even less on the last place we’d expect: Amazon. (Heck, you can snag an especially handsome brown-hued pair for just $135 on Walmart, of all places.) Don’t say we never did anything for you, folks.
