Jennifer Lopez makes it official: boho is back, but not as you remember it from the indie 2000s. Forget ruffle blouses, fringed boleros, and wide, decorative belts. This time around, the aesthetic has had an uber-glamorous update. Chemena Kamali’s debut collection at Chloé, featuring Sienna Miller (an OG boho icon) in platform wedges on the front row, sets the tone. Now, Lopez—who has always been more diva than earth mother—is embracing the trend on the red carpet.

At the Mexico City premiere of her Netflix film Atlas this week, the multi-hyphenate star wore a look fresh off Kamali’s autumn/winter 2024 Chloé runway—specifically, Look 6. She chose an elegant white tiered ruffle dress, featuring capped sleeves, a floor-sweeping train and a daring, ultra-high leg slit. Rather than fastening the top, J.Lo opted to leave the collar open creating a plunging neckline. She finished the look with diamond drop earrings and nude platform pumps, proving her love for sky-high heels, at least, has not wavered.

While the actor and pop singer might seem to be riding the boho chic wave alongside style icons like Zoë Kravitz, Blackpink’s Rosé, Rihanna and, of course, Miller, she’s added her own unmistakable sultry flair to the trend. A J.Lo red-carpet look always comes with her signature sexy twist, a testament to Jennifer Lopez’s enduring style mantra: if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
