If there isn’t a Cartier Tank sniffing around an awards ceremony red carpet, is it even a red carpet? Recently, Will Ferrell trialed some fresh poses to show off his watch—with mixed results. Here, Ed Sheeran moves the dial by posing with someone else’s watch: Luke Combs’s custom A. Lange and Sohne’s Lange 1 with a diamond bezel, specifically. Much like F.P. Journe, Lange built a cult following in the watch world and in-the-know celebs are catching on. Plot twist, though (thanks Niccoloy for the heads up): It appears that Combs swapped his watch mid-Grammys; before the event, he was seen wearing a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Perpetual Calendar. For someone who already stole the show with a Tracy Chapman duet, that’s two more big power plays right there.
