Last summer, Comme des Garçons took to Paris Fashion Week to reveal the Comme des Garçons x Nike ACG Mountain Fly Low 2. Taking on the classic hiking silhouette for the first time, the Tokyo-based fashion house has confirmed a release date, and it’s actually a lot sooner than we expected—which is always nice!
Similar to what was unveiled in June, CDG’s take on the cult trail shoe comes in three monochromatic color options, including black, white, and a combo that sneakerheads have dubbed the ‘Oreo.’ Just like the “normal” Mountain Fly, this collab is built with a tightly-knit mesh, and is decorated with canvas pull tabs across the tongue and heel. Underfoot, the exceedingly thick midsole also makes a comeback, and it’s infused with the same 045 HAGR rubber that makes everything a little comfier and a little bouncier.
But unlike the “normal” Mountain Fly, you won’t find the massive “ACG” logo across the lateral and medial sidewalls. The lacing system has also been Garçon-ified with a toggle switch setup and a series of stainless steel D-rings. This version comes with a set of custom insoles as well, and it’s packed in a special edition Nike box that’s all black and white, just like the actual sneakers themselves.
