Jacob & Co just unveiled the Bugatti Tourbillon Sapphire Crystal collection, which takes inspiration from the luxury car brand’s iconic hypercar, and costs nearly as much as one.

The new timepieces, which retail at $1.2 million (about a quarter the price of an actual Tourbillon), come in two different colorways, feature a case entirely made of solid, transparent sapphire crystal. The watches make heavy reference to Bugatti’s hypercar, with a nod to the V16 engine block automaton that’s visible from every angle. It’s the latest Jacob & Co Buggati watch following the original Tourbillon, with which it shares the same shape, and last year’s Bugatti Torubillon Baguette.

The first two watches in sapphire crystal come in green or baby blue and feature displays designed to look like the instrument panel in Bugatti’s hypercar. The left hand side of the display features a 30-second flying tourbillon, while the center features an hour and minute display inspired by the car’s RPM and speed counter. The subdials in the display match the color of the respective straps.

Perhaps the most impressive feature on the watch, however, is the miniature V16 engine block on the back of the watch. Constructed from a single block of transparent sapphire and 16 drilled-in cylinders, the feature is among the most intricate to feature in a watch produced by Jacob & Co.

Limited quantities of the watches are available starting Monday (April 13) and, as mentioned, will retail for $1,200,000. Check out more detailed shots of the watch below.
