The Toronto native tapped Alex Moss for the “Crown Jewel of Toronto.” First seen hanging from Drake’s neck in the video for “8AM in Charlotte,” the chain depicts the mascots for the Toronto Raptors and Toronto Blue Jays wrapped around the CN Tower. It features 18 karat white gold, VVS white diamonds ( D-F Color ), VVS blue diamonds, VVS yellow diamonds, Burmese red rubies, and emerald cut white diamonds.
Drake provided some insight into the inspiration when he showed it off on his Instagram story on Oct. 10, writing, “A project with my brother for ending it in the 6 and dropping on the 6th in the 6.” All of the six talk is referencing the Oct. 6 release date of For All the Dogs and the final date of his It’s All a Blur tour taking place in Toronto, which he often refers to as “the 6.” If Drake keeps his word, it may be some extra motivation for Toronto’s teams to win a championship. Drake also wrote, “Any team that wins a chip we bring this straight to you for the whole off season.” Neither team is really set up to make a legitimate run at a title soon, but hey, maybe it will give them that spark they need. As far as the value, Moss told Complex, “Some pieces that are in a museum have no price. That’s what this is.”
