Since stepping into the spotlight in 2015, Billie Eilish’s personal style has been a defining element of her career. Usually extra baggy and fueled by Y2K nostalgia, her bold outfits have been influencing her fans to express themselves through fashion for over a decade. While elements of her wardrobe have been refined and evolved over time, one of the signature pieces that Eilish has kept as a part of her uniform is a classic jersey. The sport doesn’t matter. From basketball to football, she loves them all.
In fact, Eilish loves sports jerseys so much that she has made a habit of getting customs by BBC ICECREAM as part of her tour wardrobe in recent years. She has them in every color of the rainbow. Now, her fans can finally have one of their own.
On April 16, Billie Eilish is releasing an exclusive jersey collab with the era-defining streetwear brand that will be available exclusively on Complex. It is a recreation of the jersey worn by Eilish throughout her HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (Live in 3D) movie. Ahead of the special launch, we wanted to take a look back at A History of Billie Eilish’s Jersey Obsession.
Some of the earliest examples of Eilish’s collaborative partnership with Billionaire Boys Club were also some of her most eccentric customs to date. She hit the stage of the Texas festival in full basketball uniforms, one pink/yellow and another green/blue. Each was crafted out of recycled Gucci fabric.
Sometimes Eilish likes to show some love to the city she’s performing in. One of the best examples of this came at Lollapalooza 2023 in Chicago when she hit the stage in a vintage Michael Jordan jersey. You can never go wrong repping the G.O.A.T. This one was a classic.
Even before Eilish embarked on her world tour that was full of customs, she was repping BBC ICECREAM in the promo material. While it wasn’t a custom, the Grammy-winning singer could be seen rocking a black and red jersey from the brand’s Spring 2024 line as she posed at the center of the flyer.
This tour is where Eilish’s partnership with BBC ICECREAM really went to the next level. Throughout the 104-show world tour, Eilish rocked custom basketball, soccer, rugby, football, and hockey jerseys in every color imaginable. Each featured signature Billionaire Boys Club motifs, from script logos across the chest to giant astronaut logos printed on the back. True to any classic sports jersey, some of them even featured her last name embroidered across the back.
If that wasn’t enough, Eilish flexed some shorts and matching fitted caps on certain occasions. The partnership has been a perfect way to introduce iconic branding that defined streetwear in the 2000s to a new generation through Eilish’s experimental style.
The Billionaire Boys Club jerseys might have been the highlight, but they weren’t the only jerseys that Eilish rocked on tour. For her December 2024 show at the Kia Forum, she donned a red “72” jersey from Ecko Unltd. She’s also proven to have a pretty impressive assortment of vintage items from the pioneering streetwear label over the years. Ecko’s rhino-clad pieces seem to be a favorite.
The pop star also appreciates this generation’s approach to the timeless sports jersey. Case in point, she performed at the Grammys in 2025 alongside her brother Finneas in a bold orange soccer jersey from one of the most important designers right now, Martine Rose. We don’t typically see artists at the ceremony dress so casually, but it was refreshing to see Eilish stay authentic on music’s biggest night.
Fans can finally own one of Eilish’s exclusive Billionaire Boys Club jerseys for themselves. The blue, yellow, and orange color scheme that was worn by the “Birds of a Feather” artist throughout the HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE IN 3D) film directed by James Cameron is available exclusively on Complex on April 16. Don’t sleep.
