Asics is on a serious hot streak. Last November, we dubbed the Japanese sportswear stalwart’s iconic Gel-Kayano 14 runner the Sneaker of the Year, and just a couple months later we predicted its GT-2160 model would be everywhere in 2024. That’s to say nothing of the truly elite collaborations the brand has spun up over the past few years, with the likes of Kiko Kostadinov, Brain Dead, and more. Now, Asics’s Sportstyle division has linked with Italy’s C.P. Company to deliver one of the more intriguing sneaker collabs we’ve seen recently: a sleek reinterpretation of the Gel-Quantum 360 VIII that makes use of a bevy of cutting-edge manufacturing techniques. It’s exactly the kind of boundary-pushing innovation we’d expect to see from both Asics and C.P. Company, and it makes perfect sense for their first-ever joint effort.

The resulting kicks feel very much in keeping with the sort of retrofuturistic vibes Asics has employed lately on the Gel-Quantum series and other runners.
