If you were to say that this piece of furniture looks like trash, then it would be mission accomplished for ASAP Rocky‘s HOMMEMADE.
In an Instagram post shared on Thursday (April 16), HOMMEMADE released images of its upcoming collaboration with Crosby Studios on the “Trash Bag Couch,” which is exactly what the name suggests.
“The TRASH BAG COUCH is a fully functional bean bag shaped and printed to replicate a city trash bag,” the post reads. “Clear, black, red, and blue trash bags stuffed with plastic bottles, cash, candy wrappers, and more.”
The “Trash Bag Couch” features a print showing some bags filled with various items, akin to an actual trash bag, while a few are meant to appear as if its entirely made up of plastic bottles or U.S. dollar bills.
This is not the first time that we have seen a brand turn trash into treasure.
Balenciaga struck up conversation with the “Trash Bag Pouch,” as part of its Winter 2022 collection. Even with a price tag of nearly $2,000, the unique piece, which was “inspired by a garbage bag,” still managed to quickly sell out on its site.
When Rocky announced the launch of HOMMEMADE, he vowed to “push the boundaries of the home decor space,” and the “Trash Bag Couch” lives up to that promise.
