Lindsay Lohan as a rich and stylish New York City mom with secrets? We are so seated. Currently enjoying the comeback of the decade—Freakier Friday is a delight and a half, in case you missed it—Lohan was just spotted on the Upper East Side filming her next role, and her first on television: Count My Lies, a limited series thriller also starring Shailene Woodley and Kit Harington.
Based on the novel of the same name by Sophie Stava, Count My Lies is basically The Housemaid meets Happy & You Know It. Woodley’s character, compulsive liar Sloane, takes a job as a nanny for the glamorous Lockharts, Violet (Lohan) and Jay (Harington). Katherine LaNasa, Sophia Bush, and Lou Diamond Phillips also have roles in the eight-episode series, which will run on Hulu.
In the set pics, Lohan has ditched her signature red hair for platinum, rich girl blonde. She struts down Fifth Avenue in heeled sandals, the brown leather matching the strap of her watch, hiding a worried expression behind tinted glasses. But it’s her floral dress that has my full attention. Not to read too much into it, but are those…red poppies? Which are beautiful but can be poisonous? Costume supervisor Tim McKelvey, I see what you are doing.
