Meek Mill has publicly taken exception to the latest Nike LeBron 23 collection for taking the name of the rapper’s debut studio album and beloved song, “Dreams and Nightmares.”

Just moments ago, Meek Mill called out the Swoosh and LeBron James on X for allegedly not reaching out before releasing the “Dreams and Nightmares”-branded LeBron 23 range, which he believes references his iconic track.

According to the sneaker’s product description on SNKRS, the metallic silver and gold-colored “Dreams and Nightmares” LeBron 23 pays tribute to the trials and tribulations that James had to endure before finally winning an NBA championship with the Miami Heat in 2012. Coincidentally, that was the same year that Meek Mill released his album and song “Dreams and Nightmares.”

“So @nike just gone take my whole brand and mash it up with LeBron … what is this … why wouldn’t anybody holler at me about this? I thought the sneaks was fake? Wassup with this?,” Meek Mill wrote for the X caption.

At the time of writing, Nike hasn’t issued a statement regarding Meek’s callout, but the brand did release the “Dreams and Nightmares” LeBron 23 today on SNKRS for $235.
