We’re not talking out of school when we say that, for most leading men, there’s a stylist in the wings doing the hard work of making them look good when the paparazzi are nearby. In particular, stylist Ilaria Urbinati gets a lot of credit for the knit polo’s revival: she dresses Chris Evans, Donald Glover, and this exquisitely swole guy here, Dwayne Johnson. One trip for a fresh bouquet found JAW wearing a very classic long-sleeve polo from the brand that effectively invented the shirt: Lacoste. (White’s fascination with the brand’s sweater vests prove the man loves his crocodile logo.) True, Lacoste’s O.G. pique polo shirts aren’t the luxe knit pieces we’ve been vibing on for this whole blog post, but listen—it’s hard to go wrong hijacking Jeremy Allen White’s off-duty enthusiasm for relaxed simplicity. Don’t be surprised if your partner starts shouting “yes, chef” as you unpack the locally grown mushrooms.
