Love Island-er Nicolas Vansteenberghe had a starring role in Kim Kardashian’s “Kimsmas” party—and Olandria Carthen fans have questions.
On December 4, Kim Kardashian shared a roundup of Christmas-themed photos on Instagram that sent the Love Island fandom into a bit of a tizzy. Without much context aside from her “Merry Kimsmas 🎄🎁” caption, the Skims mogul shared a roundup of photos from a recent holiday soirée, posing with Nic in not one but two photos. Naturally, this sparked a lot of questions from Nicolandria stans who are not used to seeing the Love Island star without his partner. (See the photos here.)
“Nic what are you doing here?? 😭,” one of many fans responded to the post, though my favorite phrasing of the question has to be, “Is that Nic from Olandria??” Another wrote, “Why do you have two pictures with Olandria’s man,” receiving more than 5,000 likes.
Obviously, the answer is completely innocent, if hilarious. It seems Kim Kardashian tapped Nic as her “Hot Santa” for her Kimsmas soirée, which was actually a Skims TikTok Live “shopping experience” that included a cocktail-making lesson from Snoop Dogg. Nic took his position seriously, arriving in a plaid Skims pajama set, mismatched plaid underwear, and a crooked Santa hat, leaving his soft-looking sleep shirt completely unbuttoned for all the world to see his abs.
Of course, some Instagram commenters had seen the Kimsmas TikTok event live, resulting in a comment that will live in my head rent free for about 10 business days. “Can’t believe ‘saint nic gave kris jenner a box of bush underwear’ is a very real and true sentence,” the Instagram user wrote. “Yet here we are 😭 The highlight of kimsmis fr.” Someone please clip that.
Anyway, all still seems to be going well for Nic and Olandria, who formed a popular connection during the most recent season of Love Island. Though the pair were hesitant to label their relationship after the reality series, Nic reportedly called the 27-year-old model his “girlfriend” during a Snapchat panel held in early November.
