Every Cyber Week, Amazon discounts hundreds of thousands of products, but there’s one in particular we wait for: the annual Crest White Strips Black Friday deal. You wouldn’t host a Thanksgiving meal without serving mashed potatoes, and Bezos and company wouldn’t host an Amazon Black Friday sale without discounting these ever-popular teeth-whitening strips. In fact, after seeing how much GQ Recommends readers (that’s you) loved this hack last year, we wouldn’t be entirely surprised if it becomes the best-selling product of Black Friday 2023, too.
On a day full of discounted designer bags, rare Patagonia sales, and noise-cancelling headphones, why are we getting out of bed for a Crest product? Well, suffice to say that we’ve tested a lot of coffee makers on your behalf this year. Also, because these strips are the go-to solution for getting a brighter and whiter smile at home—without hauling ass to the dentist or making a huge mess in your bathroom.
For those of us who used to smoke, drink a totally normal and not at all excessive amount of java, or just want to put our best teeth forward from now on, white strips are the DIY alternative to overpriced medspa and dental treatments. Plus, unlike some teeth-whitening products you may have seen on TikTok, the Crest 3D White Strips don’t require using any weird purple goop, messy trays, or LED lights to brighten your smile. (But if you like the idea of using fancy lights, read on.)
Crest’s popular whitening strips are coated with hydrogen peroxide; simply slap them on your teeth and wait. Each kit comes with 22 strips, which will be enough to visibly whiten those not-so-pearly whites. The brand promises that its strips will remove years of stains with each use, and that the results last for more than a year—and in our experience, people’s response to seeing your new white teeth is unadulterated glee. That feeling of validation is well worth $50, and it feels even better at mere $30.

As of this morning, Amazon has also knocked $10 off the price of the Crest 3D Whitestrips with Light kit. (FYI: It doesn’t come with as many white strips, so it might be worth purchasing it in addition to the product above rather than instead of.) Once the light strips are on, an LED light activator goes to work on set-in stains, yielding results in roughly ten days time. Both of the deals went live as the sun rose on Black Friday, so you’ll only have a few days to add them to your cart.
