Sydney Sweeney wants you to know that she and her fiancé are doing just fine, but the Saturday Night Live writers live for the drama.

Over the summer, Sweeney found herself in a firestorm of cheating rumors connected to her 34-year-old Anyone But You costar, Glen Powell. As the duo promoted the film, fans were convinced their firey chemistry was the result of an off-screen affair, especially after Powell’s then girlfriend, Gigi Paris, unfollowed Sweeney on Instagram before seemingly confirming her split from the Top Gun star.

Many months later, Sweeney is still engaged to her longtime partner Jonathan Davino, who actually produced Anyone But You alongside the Euphoria star. And while she’s tried to set the record straight before, Sweeney wanted to end the speculation once and for all during her Saturday Night Live hosting debut on March 2.

During her opening monologue, Sweeney described the alleged affair with Powell as the “craziest rumor” about her life. “That’s obviously not true,” she said, adding, “Me and my fiancé produced the movie together and he was there the entire shoot, and I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams and we’re still together and stronger than ever.”

Unfortunately, when she asked SNL to pan to Davino in the audience, Powell was there in his place. Despite the switch-up, Sweeney assured fans that her fiancé was “in my dressing room!”

But the bit didn’t end there. In a later skit, one of Sweeney’s characters admits to cheating on her boyfriend in a loud restaurant, telling him, “I cheated on you with my boss and I think we should break up.” And, of course, Powell then appears at the table to take off with his “baby cakes.”
