Calling it now: Once the warm weather hits, silver sandals—flat ones, specifically—will be your best investment.
If I have one Achilles heel in the fashion world, it’s shoes. I don’t often participate in trends, except when it comes to footwear. And I’m especially unable to resist a nice pair of sandals. That said, I also try to shop consciously and only buy styles I know I’ll use as the years go by. This is the case for my first–and maybe last—shoe buy of 2024: flat silver sandals.
After seeing how metallics took over the end of 2023, especially when it came to footwear, I wanted to find the summer version of winter’s silver sneakers and ankle boots. So, I added a pair of silver flat sandals to my shopping cart. I figured comfortable flats would be something I could wear year after year because they’re the most versatile. They work for the beach or pool, easily fit in a suitcase for traveling, and even have the elegance needed to complete a night-out look.
They also offer so many possibilities for styling. I can wear them with jeans, tailored pants, or romantic dresses. I can already confirm: There’s no look that doesn’t work with the right pair of silver flats. Here’s some of my favorite versions of the trend.
