Portland Trailblazers star Scoot Henderson’s first shoe with Puma, the Scoot Zeros, is one of the more impressive signature sneakers we’ve seen among recent NBA rookies. And it’s about to get a lot hotter: Puma just launched a Cheetos-themed collection this weekend, which includes the first official Scoot collab: the Scoot Zeros x Cheetos. “To have my first collaboration be with something universally recognizable is unbelievable,” Henderson told GQ. “We want to make sure we always have fun with new drops of the Scoot Zeros.”
Henderson’s only at the beginning of an extremely promising career. The 6’3 point guard from Georgia—who went third in last year’s draft, after skipping college in favor of two years in the G-League—has managed to make a name for himself this season, even among an uber-talented rookie class that includes the likes of Victor Wembanyama and Brandon Miller.
He had another chance to show what he’s made of during All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis, where he put up a dazzling performance in the Rising Stars game. “To be at my third NBA All-Star as a rookie and to participate in this year’s NBA Rising Stars Game is such a blessing,” the former G-League Ignite star said. “I’ll never forget this moment here in Indianapolis, dropping my second signature Scoot Zeros colorway.”
The Scoot Zeros is a chunky but streamlined performance shoe, built using Puma’s heavy-duty Proform EVA with an emphasis on durability and traction, making it ideal for fast pivots and quick rebounds. The new Cheetos colorway provides plenty of fiery verve, with vivid orange cheetah spots and a jagged yellow flame streaking along the sides. “I knew we wanted something fun and eye-catching to stand out on the court,” Scoot said of the design. “The colors are loud, the designs are bold—the shoes really bring fire to the court.” And to be fair, so does Scoot.
