Dutch retailer and streetwear brand Patta will continue its long tradition of Nike Air Max collaborations next year with an Air Max 90. News of the Patta x Nike Air Max 90 was first reported by Instagram sneaker page Bubble Koppe on Oct. 2; this weekend, perhaps in response to the leaked info, Patta co-founder Edson Sabajo confirmed the project by posting an early on-feet photo of the shoe.
Patta’s version of the Air Max 90 warps the leather mudguard on the retro shoe’s upper to create a wavy line, just as Patta’s Air Max 1 ‘Wave’ collabs from 2021 and 2022.
Sabajo did not share any release info, and a rep for Patta declined to comment, but the initial news break from Bubble Koppe mentioned that the shoe is scheduled to arrive mid 2025.
Patta’s catalog of Air Max designs includes coveted remixes of of the Air Max 1 and a recent Air Max Plus, but the Dutch label has never had its own Air Max 90. Patta did contribute to the design on the “Homegrown” Air Max 90 from 2006, but that sneaker was not an official Patta collaboration.
