April 5, 2023: Just weeks after they announced the relationship, a source close to the pair confirms to E! News that the two men are engaged.

April 22, 2023: Gage and Appleton marry in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony officiated by none other than Kim Kardashian. The reality star and mogul also arranged for a very special surprise: a performance by Shania Twain, one of the couple’s favorite artists, for their first dance. All of this is documented and later broadcast in an episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians.

November 10, 2023: After just six months of marriage, the couple splits. Appleton cites November 10 as the day of separation when filing divorce papers in Los Angeles, which is revealed a few days later. The documents cite “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup. According to People, the pair had a “post-nup.”

March 19, 2024: During an appearance on What What Happens Live, Andy Cohen presses Gage about the relationship. Gage appears unbothered, readily acknowledges the whirlwind nature of the romance and almost laughs it off, though he doesn’t seem to look back all too fondly. Especially his hair at the time, which he said, after Appleton’s influence, “never looked worse.”

“I had a manic episode for six months,” Gage tells Cohen by way of explanation. “What happened to me? I don’t know literally what went through my head but we live and we learn.” He also says the fur coats they wore during the ceremony were not his idea and apologizes to Twain for “wasting her time.” “’You’re Still The One’ after like three weeks? That was unhinged.”

When Cohen cites rumors of cheating, Gage says, “There was no cheating. Oh god, Andy, there’s a three-letter thing that I signed,” which Cohen translates as an NDA, or non-disclosure agreement.
