Levi’s just opened its new flagship store on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue, which promises to be the best retail destination for the brand as well as a creative hub for the city.

To celebrate the launch of the new flagship store, Levi’s parent company, Levi Strauss & Co., took over the city of Chicago with a series of events featuring local business owners and artists. They also commemorated the launch with new artwork from contemporary artist Hebru Brantley, who painted an extensive mural on the side of the building.

“Chicago has an incredible creative energy and a longstanding connection to Levi’s. As we open our store on Michigan Avenue, we wanted to create a space that feels like Chicago—its artists, its makers, its music, its energy,” said Heidi Manes, Managing Director of Levi’s U.S. and Canada. “Where Originals Meet is exactly that, a flagship store opening connected to the culture and community that makes Chicago so special.”

The store opens to the public on Friday (Nov. 6) with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and in-store activations. Artists will also be present at the store over the weekend with live customization sessions, exclusive vintage drops, and artist-led capsule collections only available in-store. Additionally, on Saturday (Nov. 7), the store will host a free workshop for Chicago high school students.
