Are you ready for Vanity Fair‘s 2024 Oscar Party?

The Oscars may be Hollywood’s biggest night, but it’s the Vanity Fair party where everything happens—or at least, the juiciest and funniest anecdotes.

Since 1994 the Oscar party organized by Vanity Fair has become an event where once a year all kinds of stars align, from Olympic medalists and international models to European and Hollywood royalty. Incredibly disparate celebrities—from Monica Lewinsky to Gwyneth Paltrow—gather in the same space. The best thing about the party, they say, is that there is no VIP area.

After posing on the official red carpet and once the ceremony is over, it is common to see the winners join the rest of the guests, but not before changing their dresses. In fact, the publication’s red carpet has seen some of the most iconic looks of all time, like Gillian Anderson’s exposed thong, Salma Hayek’s princess tiara, and more.

For its 30th anniversary, Vanity Fair‘s 2024 Oscar Party will feature Queer Eye‘s Tan France and comedian Michele Buteau as presenters.

What is the Vanity Fair Oscar party?

After the Oscars the magazine holds a party that is usually attended by most of the winners as well as many other guests who begin to arrive during the course of the ceremony and in the hours after. Models, singers, and athletes who have not been invited to the ceremony go directly to the party; presenters and award winners usually go immediately after, sometimes after a change of wardrobe.

It is not the only post-Oscars party held that night, but it is the most famous and most followed thanks to the interior photographs and portraits by Mark Seliger, who will also be present at this year’s event.

When does Vanity Fair’s 2024 Oscars party take place?

The party takes place during and after the Oscars, that is, the night of Sunday, March 10, to early Monday, March 11.

Who will attend the Vanity Fair party?

Once the ceremony is over we will see whether it is Lily Gladstone or Emma Stone (or one of the other nominees) who take the best-actress statuette to the party as Gwyneth Paltrow did in her day. Or whether Bradley Cooper, who is usually accompanied by his mother at awards shows, makes his first official pose with Gigi Hadid on the party’s red carpet.

Where to watch the Vanity Fair post-Oscars party?

The red carpet and the party will be streaming live on vanityfair.com and the magazine’s YouTube channel. The stream will feature live interviews and many surprises.
