This year’s Grammys cap off a breakout year for Coco Jones, who is nominated in five categories, including best new artist. Her EP, What I Didn’t Tell You, is competing for best R&B album, and the breakout single, “ICU” will compete for best R&B performance and best R&B song.
As she told Glamour, though, Jones is focusing on enjoying the experience with those she cares about.
“I’m excited to have a great look, to feel beautiful, to have my family there, my mom and brother and sister,” she said. “I’m excited for my team to celebrate the nomination and I’m pretty much leaving the rest of my possible ‘what ifs’ for the day.”
