I’m no color analysis expert or anything, but I can tell you right now that Anne Hathaway looks perfect in a bright, primary red, which is what she wore to the New York City premiere of her new Amazon Prime movie, The Idea of You, on April 29.

The Princess Diaries actor wore a figure-skimming strapless cherry red gown with a scalloped bodice and peekaboo cutouts under the bust, emphasizing the decorative boning along the sides. The dress is Versace, naturally, as Hathaway is one of the brand’s current “Icons.”
Hathaway skipped the necklace (side note: why does nobody wear necklaces anymore?), opting instead for dangly statement earrings with white and green beads from Bulgari. She kept her makeup on the natural side, with a nude lip and a classic smoky eye, and wore her signature sleek brown hair in a high pony, with her curtain bangs loose over her forehead.

In the past couple of days alone she’s worn an ab-baring cerulean ’fit for her Live With Kelly and Mark appearance on April 29 and a black, lingerie-inspired corset gown from Fleur du Mal on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
