Willy Chavarria and Adidas have released their World Cup capsule tied to Mexico’s Selección Nacional, and the collection is available now on Complex.
Chavarria—the Chicano designer whose work has long drawn from his Mexican-American roots—brought that same lens to this project. The collection’s name, “Comienza Con El Sueño” (“It Begins With the Dream”), frames the whole collection around the past, present, and future of Mexican football talent, with national team players appearing throughout the campaign, grounding the clothes in the culture they’re meant to celebrate rather than just the sport.
