Okay, let’s get serious. You don’t need noise cancelling. Sure, it’s nice when you’re on a flight trying to watch a show or trying to lock in on some work while a coworker next to you is talking. But truthfully, most people will survive without noise cancelling. If you really don’t care too much about noise cancelling, I’d advise skipping the current AirPods Gen 3 and going for the original model AirPods.

The sounds is good enough to be heard over anything besides a bus, train, or plane passing by you. They’re IPX4 rated, so they’re durable enough for your workouts. They a 24 hour battery life with the charging case. And for what it’s worth, I prefer the in-ear control on these more than the AirPods Pro. Here, instead of clicking, you pause, play, and skip by tapping the earbud. In my experience, it’s less tactile, but more reliable.

Of course, there are limitations. A wireless charging case costs extra, and isn’t worth it in my opinion. Plus, as Android users will gladly make known, there are better cheap earbuds on the market. But for me, as an Apple user, these are perfect.
