The star wore her long brown hair tucked beneath the hat in a bun, which actually is the ideal hairstyle for this muggy and rainy day. She kept her styling simple, with a chic snake brooch on the back, gold studs, and of course, her gorgeous engagement ring from fiance Tom Holland.
This year’s gala honors the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s latest exhibit “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which explores “the importance of clothing and style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora.” To further celebrate Black dandies’ everlasting impact on fashion and culture, attendees were instructed to embrace menswear through the dress code, Tailored for You.
For the first time since her Met Gala debut in 2015, Zendaya was not accompanied by longtime stylist and image director Law Roach, who attended the event separately. Their collaborations have become a hallmark of the event over the years, from Zendaya’s Joan of Arc moment for “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” to her light-up Cinderella gown for “Camp: Notes on Fashion.”
Though she went on a four-year Met Gala hiatus due to the pandemic and scheduling conflicts, Zendaya returned as co-chair in 2024, nailing The Garden of Time dress code with not one but two gowns by John Galliano.
