Travis Kelce Says His ‘Palms Were Sweating’ During His Tearful Proposal to Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce “can’t wait” to spend the rest of his life with Taylor Swift.

During a new interview with FOX Sports, the NFL player was asked about proposing to Swift after two years of dating. While Kelce said he’d prefer to let his fiancé “tell that story,” he admits his “palms were definitely sweating” during the backyard proposal, which occurred in late August.

“I’m an emotional guy, so there were a few tears here and there,” he said in an interview clip released on September 14. “But it’s been an exciting ride up to this day, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”

Swift and Kelce reportedly waited two weeks before announcing their exciting news on Instagram in late August. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” she captioned a series of engagement photos, adding an explosive emoji in honor of their couple’s nickname. You may remember Kelce gifing Swift matching “TNT” bracelets about six months into their relationship.

In another clip from the interview, Kelce told reporter and personal friend Erin Andrews that Swift “has brought excitement and a joy for life that made me a better man, made me a better person, and made me just that much more comfortable in who I am.”
