Travis Kelce is hoping to make Taylor Swift’s birthday “extra special” this year.
With the Eras Tour wrapping up on December 8, Swift’s schedule is opening up just in time for her 35th birthday on December 13. Unfortunately, Kelce can’t say the same. Not only are the Kansas City Chiefs scheduled to play in Ohio on December 15, but the NFL player will also be traveling for his game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day.
So far, Swift has not attended any away games this season, regardless of her Eras Tour schedule. Even so, a source tells Page Six that Kelce plans to mark Swift’s “milestone birthday” with the pop star. “Although he’ll be playing on Christmas and has an away game the weekend of Taylor’s birthday, Travis is going to make sure to take time out to celebrate both occasions with her,” the source said.
Just like last year, the insider claims Kelce has been “shopping for Christmas and birthday gifts for Taylor for quite a while now.” According to the source, Kelce is “not the type to leave these things to the last minute” and has been “picking up items here and there for the past several months whenever he has a chance.”
Supposedly, Travis Kelce has been keeping track of Taylor Swift’s wish list. “Some of the gifts are things Taylor has casually mentioned she would like,” the source continued. “Travis makes sure to always listen even when Taylor doesn’t realize he is.”
You know the boyfriends who buy silver for their gold jewelry girlfriends? Kelce is not one of them. Last year, Kelce ordered custom diamond and gold ‘TNT’ bracelets for himself and Swift, who debuted her charm bracelet at the 2023 Super Bowl. While personalized jewelry is always appreciated, these bracelets also paid homage to the origin of their love story.
In July 2023, Kelce famously attempted to give Swift his phone number via friendship bracelet at an Eras Tour concert in Kansas City. Though he was unable to meet her after the show, he was able to capture her attention by telling the story on his podcast—a move Swift later called “metal as hell.” Not sure how he’s going to top that one, to be honest.
