Sophie Turner is a novice to the dating scene. “It’s strange when you get married so young,” the actor told British Vogue’s Chioma Nnadi when she appeared on the cover in June. “It’s like you never really learn how to date.” And yet Turner seems to have been well-schooled in the art of social media soft launches. Earlier this week, she uploaded an Instagram photo–picnic blanket, big smile, rolling hills – with a tag leading to an account belonging to man named Peregrine Pearson.

A British property developer and viscount’s son who is—much to the delight of Turner’s fans—tall, Pearson has been papped with the Game of Thrones actor on several occasions since October 2023: sometimes floating around west London, often “packing on the PDAs” in Paris. “I am having fun dating,” Turner has said. “It’s very fun.”

On July 2, the couple were photographed at Cowdray Park Polo Club—which is situated on the Pearson family’s 16,000-acre ancestral estate in west Sussex—with Turner accepting a piggyback ride from this most thoroughbred stallion. You can see the photos here.

In the photos, Sophie Turner wore slim-fit jeans and a peter pan-collared blouse from Nobody’s Child–gingham and picnic-appropriate–with Louis Vuitton sliders and classic Ray-Ban Wayfarers (i.e., the precise outfit that also appeared in that same al fresco Instagram carousel). Pearson was meanwhile photographed in a grey T-shirt, shorts, and a Cowdray Park baseball cap. It is perhaps only a matter of time before Turner leans full-tilt into this aristocratic lifestyle: padded gilets, red chinos, wellington boots, Castañer wedges, LK Bennett dresses, the requisite sun hats. The people’s princess with “the height difference she deserved.”
