However, people over 230 pounds who prefer to sleep on their side or stomach may feel some pressure points, or that the mattress is a little too soft for comfort, respectively. This is likely because these folks will sink into the mattress more than others do, making the springs and base more noticeable. In addition, our tester found that the mattress hit a happy medium between allowing them to sink in while lying down and keeping their spine in alignment. Though their hips sank a bit lower than their shoulders, they still felt it did a good job keeping their spine in a neutral position overall.
