What makes a moisturizer stand out when you’re researching and testing dozens of contenders? Pareva’s had our attention from the first pump of its airless jar (always a perk—no risk of dipping a germy finger in or scooping up too much). Then, the gel-cream sank right into our skin with cool, soothing efficiency, absorbing instantly. Yet it packs the moisturizing heft we associate with dense, rich creams. “It kept my skin more quenched and flake-free than any moisturizer I’ve tried, even in the freezing New England winter, and it plumped my lines and made my makeup go on smoother,” our tester says.

Incorporating peptides and stem cells derived from three plants to stimulate exosomes and NAD+ (both buzzed-about skin care terms at the moment), Molecur 3 is also designed to enhance the performance of gold-standard skin care ingredients like vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and retinol. A bit of an anti-influencer, Rao has a larger mission to build a transparent beauty brand around science, minus the BS—and we think she’s ready to disrupt some stuff.
