The 10 Best Everyday Sneakers for Men

Reebok’s Club C 85s have managed to slide past any extreme sneakerhead hype attention, and that’s what makes us love them all the more. They have stayed just as classic through the years with a low profile and cushiony interior. We’re partial to the vintage colorways, which are a bit more muted than a stark white. You can’t go wrong with these.

If you like a running sneaker or you’re interested in a New Balance, we likely wouldn’t talk you out of any of them. However, the 1000s are a little less chunky, a little less wide, and feel a bit more techy than dad-ish. There are some neutral colorways, but we also like the hit of navy for some subtle color.

Asics Skyhands are, in my opinion, one of the most slept on sneakers. These are minimal, give a kind of old-school sporty aesthetic like a Samba but without feeling too trendy. They’re comfortable, all with little pops of color. Wear them on the weekend or to a casual workplace.

Sometimes, simple, straightforward, and well-done is the way to go. Greats Royale 2.0 sneaker is low profile, done up in a soft leather and all in a tonal white. These are excellent for many outfits—jeans, trousers, your favorite travel pant. If you want a sneaker you can be confident looks good at the office or on a date, these are it.

Veja’s V-90 is a bit like the Reebok Club C in its low-profile aesthetic and slightly perforated toe box, but these are a bit sturdier of a shoe. They’re designed with leather and suede, making the shoe a little more interesting than just a flat off-white. You can go for a tonal V, but we like the little bit of green (there’s also a cool light blue variety) on the logo and the heel. Good for wearing with all of your jeans.

There are many Nikes you could go for in the daily-wear department (Killshot 2s, Field Generals, and Blazers come to mind), but the Zoom Vomero 5 has become a bit of its own beast. They are, first of all, extremely comfortable. They have a soft landing and cushioned heel, a bit more support than a true minimal, low-top sneaker. We like the cream, gray, and silver colorways for the most wearability.

There is no classic high-top like the classic high-top. While most Converse are easy to wear, we’re partial to the white Chuck 70, which has a higher sole and is made with more elevated materials. The white canvas on an off-white sole is excellent. For an even more elevated option, get these in leather instead of canvas.

Generally, white sneakers are the easiest to wear every day. You don’t need to worry about them clashing with outfits or causing some sort of unwanted business. We love Vince’s Oasis sneaker for a non-white alternative. There are a few colors, but the gray suede and gray-ish gum sole are still low-key enough to wear easily with most outfits.

The German Army Trainer is making a strong comeback this summer, and we think it’s one of the more wearable trendy sneakers. These are minimal, with either an all-white or all-black upper on a classic gum sole. Wear them with your minimal in-office outfits or your favorite wide-fit pants.

Many a retro runner could be great for everyday, but we like Saucony’s Shadow for its blend of an old-school style done up with modern-feeling colors and textures. The mix of suede and mesh, done up in alternating neutral colors makes the shoe interesting, but not any more difficult to wear.
