If there was a Best Eye Makeup category on the Oscars red carpet, Teyana Taylor would be the sole nominee. For the 2026 Academy Awards, the actor revived the siren eye trend with a fresh twist for spring—and we’re dusting off our sharpest liquid liners to copy her look.
Taylor walked the carpet in a black-and-white Chanel feathered gown, which supported her siren theme with a mermaid-cut silhouette. The actor, who is nominated for Best Actress In a Supporting Role for her One Battle After Another performance, has delivered a master class in sultry eye makeup this awards season. But her graphic Oscars eyeliner may be our favorite look yet.

According to Nick Lujan, director of artistry and education at Kevyn Aucoin Beauty. The ‘siren eyes’ trend typically involves a “smoky, 360-degree liner with a horizontal wing.” Taylor’s latest take on the look is every bit as alluring, but it adds a modern edge: Rather than softly smoked-out liner, her look includes a sharp double wing and a white accent along her waterline.
While soft-focus makeup looks are trending this awards season, Taylor’s modern look is a welcome change of pace. Her lash-line details prove how much a single stroke of eye liner can change an entire look—and that it pays to think outside the box. Paired with a glossy blurred lip, statement lashes, and soft finger waves in her signature pixie cut (courtesy of Nikki Nelms using OGX products), this look is the perfect centerpiece for our siren beauty mood boards.
