Taylor Swift has perfected the complicated art of dressing for other people’s weddings.
Oh, you don’t think it’s hard? Just ask the countless of women who use TikTok to poll if their look is appropriate for such-and-such wedding dress code. Nine times out of ten, the comments section will tell them their look is too casual for a black tie affair or the dress leans a bit too white for comfort—even when it’s blue! Honestly, that’s something Taylor Swift can probably relate to…
Even though some of Taylor Swift’s recent wedding guest looks may not have passed TikTok’s ultra-high bar for wedding guest dresses, she’s found a go-to style that works for her: The botanical print midi dress.
The most recent example came on June 6, when Taylor Swift joined Travis Kelce at his cousin’s barn wedding in Tennessee. Over the course of the night, multiple photos and videos of the couple quickly found their way online, showing off Swift’s strapless blue midi dress in a lightweight cotton fabric with dainty red floral pattern, which she topped off with a pair of platform raffia Aquazzura sandals. (You can see the photos here and here and here and here.)
The strapless Markarian dress retails for $1,945, which is not quite as affordable as the Printed Jungle Dress by Montsand that she wore to a friend’s wedding in October 2024. Although that dress featured a leafy jungle motif, it had a very similar silhouette and length, making it the perfect fall alternative to Swift’s most recent look. At the time, the dress retailed for $305, but the price has since gone up to $530.
But these aren’t the only breezy midi dresses Swift has worn to a wedding. Just a month prior to her whimsical jungle dress, Swift wore a cream linen Zimmermann dress with scalloped edges and a floral skirt design to a wedding in New York City—And before you ask, she wasn’t the only famous guest breaking convention with a nearly bridal white look, but the floral pattern does make the dress feel more guest appropriate. Just make sure you check with the bride before you copy this particular look.
