Taylor Swift is embracing florals for spring—and fans are reading into it.
On May 29, Swift stepped out in New York City wearing a black, rose-patterned sundress by Dôen, marking her second floral look from the California-based brand in less than a week. Swift previously donned a white, poppy-covered skirt and top set by Dôen for a Florida date night with Travis Kelce on May 24, pairing the airy spring look with a belted black Balmain shoulder bag.
This time, she paired the same bag with black Louboutin heels and the Benoit Dress in noir wild rose, which retails for $298 and is nearly sold out. You can see images of Swift here.
Miranda Priestly might not find florals particularly groundbreaking this time of year, but Taylor Swift fans know something she doesn’t. After all, Swift was using her wardrobe to forecast The Tortured Poets Department months before it was even announced—and some believe she’s doing the same thing right now. And no, they’re not connecting the looks to Reputation (Taylor’s Version) or the re-recording of her self-titled debut album.
Instead, many fans think she’s signaling T12, the term they use to signify her 12th studio album before its name is revealed. In a TikTok video with over 70,000 views and 10,000 likes, user @swiftieinkc suggested Swift may be tapping Dôen as as one of her “staple” brands for TS12, pointing to the fact that Swift wore a ton of Vivienne Westwood (accidentally referred to as Stella McCartney in the video, but corrected in the comments section) while actively promoting The Tortured Poets Department.
The TikTok post then highlighted other times Swift has worn Dôen—including her first-ever Chiefs game in 2023—seemingly insinuating the album will document the singer’s relationship with her NFL boyfriend. Other fans in her comments section seemed to agree, with one user writing, “TS12 is girly, pretty, natural hair. Happy and loved.”
