Tank has officially released “Turtleneck” to streaming platforms.

The song is taken from a now-infamous improvised moment during his VERZUZ matchup with Tyrese last month (March 26) where the two R&B stars played through their hit songs.

For its streaming debut, “Turtleneck” has also been expanded into a full track that now includes a Jersey Club section.

During the VERZUZ event, Tank improvised the song while teasing Tyrese’s outfit, saying, “I think he’s changing clothes. Now it’s the jacket with the suede lapel,” before adding, “You still got on that turtleneck. You recycled that turtleneck. You should take off that turtleneck.”

Tyrese leaned into the joke and even sang along when Tank hit the word “turtleneck,” as the teasing continued throughout the night with Tank joking that Tyrese kept switching into another bad coat.

The VERZUZ platform itself, created by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, continues in partnership with Apple Music and Complex as a live, fan-driven showcase of major artists.

If you missed it, you can watch Tank and Tyrese’s full VERZUZ match, brought to you by Complex and Apple Music, here.

Tank’s “Turtleneck” is available wherever you stream music.
