Months have passed since initial leaks of the project surfaced online, but now Adidas has officially unveiled its first collaboration with Sp5der.
The inaugural Sp5der x Adidas Originals range is centered around the debut of the Supermodified Superstar along with matching graphic t-shirts.
The collaborative Sp5der x Adidas Supermodified Superstar features a premium patent leather upper that’s covered with a spiderweb design. Unlike standard versions of the shell toe, the Three Stripes on the sides have been shifted down more towards the toe box. The heel has metallic silver accents, while a translucent tooling sits below. Sp5der branding is stamped on the tongue, the heel of the midsole, and across the outsole.
The updated model will be available in a red and black makeup, as well as an all-black colorway. Both pairs also come with special packaging, including additional shoelaces and a spider-shaped hangtag.
Also releasing as part of the collection are two graphic t-shirts that feature an “I Love Sp5der” puff print at the center.
Sp5der was conceptualized by Young Thug back in 2019. The brand is based out of Los Angeles, but its designs draw inspiration from the rapper’s hometown of Atlanta, GA.
This Sp5der x Adidas collection will first release on Feb. 27 exclusively at Kingspider.co, followed by a global launch on March 3 via the Adidas Confirmed app, Kingspider.co, and at select Adidas stockists. Grab a closer look at the sneaker below.
