May 20, 2024: Sofia and Elliot welcome their first child together, a daughter named Eloise Samantha Grainge. Sofia shared a photo of the newborn’s feet to her social media along with her name, her birth date, and the words “best day of my life.”
The couple later revealed that their daughter’s middle name is in honor of Elliot’s late mother, Samantha Berg.
January 25, 2024: In an elaborate photoshoot for Vogue, Sofia Richie Grainge reveals she’s pregnant with her first child, a baby girl. The magazine noted that she and Elliot had been “casually trying [for a child] ever since they got married in April.”
Added Sofia, “My dream in life is to have a daughter, and Elliot is really excited for a girl too. I think it’s so typical for boys to want boys, but he has a lot of sisters. It was really sweet. He’s very sensitive.”
For a woman who is basically synonymous with “quiet luxury,” the story of how she and Elliot told his parents is also fairly on brand. “I had a box—I want to say it was a Hermès box or some sort of box—and I told everyone that I had bought them a gift from Milan Fashion Week,” Richie Grainge told Vogue. “Everyone was like, ‘Ooooh, Hermès!’ But then they opened it and it had all three of the pregnancy tests [in it]. That’s how we told all of our parents. Watching their reaction go from like, ‘I’m about to get an expensive present’ to like ‘I’m about to get a grandchild’ was really sweet.”
May 2023: Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge wed in the French Riviera. The bride wore Chanel for the nuptials, which took place at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes.
