Selena Gomez’s ‘Blood Orange Nails’ Are Summer’s Hottest Manicure

Selena Gomez may be on a minimalist mani streak, but it seems she snuck in one of the most popular nails looks for summer: bright neon. The actor has recently been loving barely-there nail designs like milk bath nails, lavender milk nails, and glass nails, but her longtime manicurist Tom Bachik gave us a look into one of her brighter and bolder past looks: blood orange nails.

Sharing a photo of the mani on his Instagram page, Bachik wrote in the caption: “Orange 🍊 You glad it’s Friday! #FBF @selenagomez #nailsbytombachik Loving this Neon #mani for Summer!☀️” In the snap, Gomez is shown holding her hand up to camera with a bold orange color on her nails. Instead of her signature almond nails shape, Bachik opted for a round nail shape. Leaning into the tropical vibes of the mani, the duo appropriately used a pool and a leafy green tree as the background of their photo opp. The whole thing screams summertime.

Bachik didn’t share the exact shade he used for Gomez, but there are plenty of similar nail polishes that will give you the same fiery orange effect. Some of our favorites include Manucurist Coral Reef, Hermés Orange Poppy, and Essie Geranium.

As for Gomez’s current manicure, the actor was most recently spotted with a dreamy lilac color on her nails during an appearance on the game show Match Game, hosted by her Only Murders in the Building costar Martin Short, along with the rest of the cast.
