The neutral base illuminates her natural nails and compliments her skin tone, while the subtlest pink tone gives a light blush effect, and the light chrome finish mimics a fresh, dewy highlighter. To create Gomez’s Angel Mani, Bachik used his usual Tweezerman tools to prep Gomez’s nails. For extra length, he used Gel-X Medium Length coffin tips from Aprés Nails, but based on the final look, it seems like he lightly filed the tips into a softer nail shape.

While you can copy Gomez’s Angel Mani exactly, Bachik has emphasized that the best toasted manicures are customized to complement the individual. To give your favorite neutral shades an elegant upgrade, “ask for or use pearlescents, iridescence, mirror chromes, even cat-eye effects to make any color toasted,” he told Glamour.
Selena Gomez and Bachik have been a trendsetting dream team this fall. Bachik coined the viral toasted-nails trend, and Gomez has modeled every iteration for him, from pumpkin-spiced to true neutral. Bachik also created her ultra-minimalistic “sophisticated silk” short-nail look for the Emmys.
