Samuel L. Jackson wore custom Bode gear during his appearance as Unclr Sam at Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl LIX performance.

Jackson wore a red, white, and blue suit that screamed patriotism as he served as the performance’s narrator. The luxury brand, Bode, took to Instagram to reveal that it was behind the actor’s unique look.

“The legendary Samuel L. Jackson wears a custom Bode ensemble for the Super Bowl LIX halftime show,” the brand wrote in a caption. “The three-piece suit and overcoat are cut from Italian wool suiting, with a hand-embroidered stars studding the labels and bow tie, and a hat trimmed with suede.”

“His looks is a homage to Uncle Sam and illustrations from the early nineteenth century,” the company added.

Following his appearance in the halftime show, Jackson hopped on X to reflect on the show.

“Super huge honor to be asked to be part of @kendricklamar halftime revolution!!,” wrote Jackson. In an accompanying picture, he’s seated next to Lamar with the words “PRESHOW CHILL WIT DA BAWZ” written over them.

Lamar’s halftime show was one to be remembered. At one point, he teased the intro to his diss track, “Not Like Us,” but cut the song short, saying “I want to perform their favorite song, but you know they love to sue,” in reference to Drake launching a lawsuit against UMG because of it.

When he did finally perform the song, Lamar smiled at the camera to say the line, “Say Drake, I heard you like ’em young.”

In addition to these wild moments, Serena Williams made a surprise appearance onstage and C-walked to the Drake diss.
