Lifestyle brand and vinyl record label 12on12 has recruited musician Robert Glasper and streetwear pioneer Jeff Staple for its latest collaborative collection, and it’s available to purchase here at Complex.
Entitled Been There Done That, the creative collaboration between the two is headlined by a limited-edition double LP, with a handpicked curation of Glasper’s entire career, encompassing all his work across different genres. It’s got collaborations with heavyhitters including Q-Tip, Kendrick Lamar, Brittany Howard, H.E.R., and Anderson .Paak. It also features the world premiere of an unreleased track by the Robert Glasper Experiment, and a new conversation between him and Staple.
The deluxe gatefold sleeve housing the vinyl features original artwork from Staple and is limited to just 400 copies. In addition to the vinyl, which is available to purchase in a regular edition or a signed edition, there’s also a capsule collection designed by Jeff Staple and his creative agency, Reed Art Department. The other pieces include a vinyl slipmat, a cap, a tote bag, a hoodie, and a short-sleeve t-shirt.
The entire collection is available to purchase exclusively on Complex below and here.
“Jeff sees culture the way I hear it—layered, raw, innovative. This project lets us blend sound and style in a way that feels fresh but rooted,” said Glasper. “Working with Robert Glasper is like remixing the DNA of two worlds I’ve always been obsessed with—music and street culture,” added Staple. “This collection is about how these two industries come together with a unique vibration, intention, and storytelling. Together, we’re building a visual language that speaks to both tradition and collaboration.”
The collection is the latest project from 12on12, which bridges the gap between music and art. Previous collaborations from the brand include Timbaland and Derek Forjour, Nas and Futura, Travis Scott and Saint Laurent, and ComplexCon with original artwork from Takashi Murakami.
