Okay, it was an unveiling of a statue of Bridget Jones, and it looks like a total party. Sally Phillips, who plays Shazzer in the rom-com franchise, was on hand to dramatically rip away the curtin covering the bronze installation.

Zellweger posed with Helen Fielding, author of the original Bridget Jones books. Fielding went in the opposite direction, wearing quite enough collar and cuff for the both of them, and the two make a pretty cute picture together. Not in attendance: Jane Austen, whose novel Pride & Prejudice provided the rough outline for the first Bridget Jones story. Did her ghost make it from Winchester? Hard to say, but some other actors from the movies did attend!
