Who is making People We Meet On Vacation?
Fellow novelist Yulin Kuang will pen the screenplay for a film adaptation to be directed by Brett Haley (Hearts Beat Loud, Looking for Alaska), per Deadline.
Who is in the cast of People We Meet On Vacation?
The leads, free-spirited Poppy and routine-loving Alex, will be played by Emily Bader (My Lady Jane) and Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes), per Deadline. On August 2, Netflix released a downright adorable Instagram video of the moment Bader was offered the role, with Blyth and even Henry herself jumping on the video call, everyone very excited to start filming. Henry said that she’d been anxious about finding the right people for the role, but was so confident in Bader and Blyth.

Fans, too, were immediately on board. “SHUT UP THIS CASTING IS SO GOOD” reads one top comment. Wrote another, “I didn’t even know it would be them and I can’t picture anyone else now. This is what perfect casting feels like 👏🏾.”
On September 18, Netflix announced the rest of the main cast, though not their roles.
