Peloton celebrity Kendall Toole is ready for the “next adventure.”

On June 12, the popular Peloton instructor announced a major career change to her near-million Instagram followers. “It’s with great consideration, many, many, many hours of reflection that I’m choosing to close my chapter at Peloton,” she began the Reel, which is currently pinned to the top of her profile.

Toole has been a cycling and boxing instructor for Peloton since 2019. “To the community who has become my friends and family and have stayed in the fight with me: I cannot thank you enough,” she continued, thanking everyone for “riding with me, for sweating with me, for crying with me, for growing and evolving with me in every single way.”

While The New York Times noted Peloton instructors’ influencer-level fame in 2017, the first batch of household names took their stardom to the next level during the pandemic. As stationary bike sales skyrocketed, instructors like Toole, Cody Rigsby, and Ally Love went increasingly viral on social media for inspirational or, in Rigsby’s case, hilarious class moments. In 2021, Rigsby placed third in season 30 of Dancing With the Stars. Meanwhile, Ally Love joined the Today show as an on-air contributor in May 2023.

While Love and Rigsby took on those projects while remaining with Peloton, Kendall Toole is ready to move on. “I don’t want you to think that I’m saying goodbye. I’m not,” she said. “This is just a shift. I’ll be continuing to check in on social media and far beyond.” You can watch the entire video here.

While Peloton is currently struggling, it seems its talent is not. Surely, we can expect exciting things to come from Toole. Personally, I’d love her to replace Tom Sandoval on the next season of Traitors. If anyone could make a group of reality stars get along, it’s her.
