I’ve been vocal about my love for a classic Lacoste polo for quite a while now. I’m well aware of what’s “wrong” with the modern polos. They’re more expensive, not made in France. You can scour eBay for old French-made ones; I often do, but honestly the modern ones are just as good if you’ve got $110 to spend. It’s when they go on sale, that they become a must buy. Right now, Amazon’s got them for up to 50-percent off. You’d be crazy to not buy a couple.

Of course, shopping for clothes on Amazon is a horrible experience. From Levi’s to Carhartt, sale prices and availability vary widely by size. It’s all legit, but a white tee in one size might be 50-percent off and retail price in another. So, I did the heavy lifting for you. Here’s all the Lacoste polos I’d buy right now, with the popular sizes show so you can see price differences.

The color choices here are where I’d lead you stylistically. Black, navy, white, and maybe a pop of red. I also love the Lacoste dark green, but that’s not on sale at the moment. I like to keep these pretty neutral and use them as replacements for t-shirts to dress up an outfit. You can get freaky and go for butter yellow, but just know you can get into ’80s prep territory real quick. A cool look if you’re into it, but not for the faint of heart.

Other than that, don’t over think it. A Lacoste polo is as permanent style as it can get. Buy a handful now, and save a couple hundred bucks.
